ELEBELİNDE
The Elibelinde motif symbolizes important concepts such as femininity, fertility, and abundance in Anatolia. Reflecting the central role of women in life, this motif references ancient goddess cults while also depicting the cycle of nature and the continuity of life.
ANATOLIAN MOTIF COLLECTION
In this series, we examined the most frequently used motifs from Anatolia from past to present, especially carpet and kilim patterns and various sources. Because each motif has a wide variety of interpretations, we spent considerable time selecting the most suitable motifs for the design.
Motifs associated with birth and procreation include the elibelinde, ram's horn, abundance, human, hair tie, earring, boukagi, chest, love and union, and star motifs. Motifs symbolizing life include the waterway, cocklebur, finger and comb, amulet and amulet, eye, cross, hook, snake and dragon, scorpion, wolf's mouth, and tree of life.
We are delighted to help preserve these important motifs. We extend our sincere gratitude to Mine Erbek, author of the book Anatolian Motifs from Çatalhöyük to the Present, which has been our most valuable resource.
