GOBEKLİTEPE
Located near Şanlıurfa and dating back 11,000 years, Göbeklitepe is not only the oldest monument and center of worship of this size, but also represents a ground zero in history in many ways.
The construction of temples requiring high architectural design during a period when humans lived as hunter-gatherers, and the first appearance of wheat in this region, have astonished the world.
The temples, enriched with figures of scorpions, foxes, bulls, snakes, wild boars, lions, cranes, and wild ducks, reflecting the beliefs of prehistoric people, have made Göbeklitepe one of the most important discoveries in archaeological history.
